Looking after your Leatherpur

Good leather does not need much. It needs a little, regularly.

Every week

Wipe with a dry, soft cloth. Keep it out of direct sun and away from radiators.

Every three to four months

Apply a neutral leather balm with a cloth, in thin circles. Let it sit for twenty minutes, then buff. Never use shoe polish on bag leather.

If it gets wet

Blot - do not rub. Stuff the piece with paper to hold its shape and let it dry away from heat. Condition once fully dry.

Storage

Use the dust bag. Keep hardware from pressing into the leather. Never store leather in plastic.

Patina

Scratches, darkening and softening are not damage. They are the point.
